School’s In: Access VHAN Tools for Pediatric and Adolescent Anxiety

The end of summer is around the corner, and soon students will be headed back to the classroom. This past year many students adjusted to learning virtually or in a hybrid format, forced to see their friends and teachers through a screen. The constantly changing learning environment combined with the uncertainties of COVID-19 resulted in higher levels of anxiety for both children and adolescents. To help support pediatric patients who may be fearful of returning to school after the difficult pandemic year, watch the latest Well Moment webinar, “COVID-19’s Impact on Anxiety in the School Setting.”

VHAN subject matter experts discuss practical coping strategies for children with anxiety, potential warning signs of behavioral health concerns and home safety recommendations that you can share with the parents or caregivers of your pediatric patients.

Additional resources about pediatric anxiety can be found in these My Southern Health articles: What to Know About Childhood Anxiety, Anxiety in Children: All the Facts You Need to Know and on wellmoment.org.
