VHAN’s Pediatric Behavioral Health Consult Line is a vital benefit for pediatric providers, connecting practices to licensed clinical social workers who help customize patient care plans, navigate community resources and provide guidance on screening tools. Since launching the consult line in 2018, VHAN social workers have fielded more than 2,000 calls—an impressive milestone.

Currently, 19.86% of adults in the United States are experiencing a mental illness—equivalent to nearly 50 million Americans. Guide Available for Prescribing COVID Oral Antivirals to Outpatients

As the omicron variant continues its dominance, many providers are looking for new ways to treat COVID-19 in patients. While new oral drugs, such as Paxlovid and molnupiravir, are authorized for emergency use, they can be difficult and time-consuming to prescribe. In partnership with VUMC, VHAN pharmacists have developed a guide to prescribing COVID oral antivirals in the outpatient setting.

Collaborative Care Management Helps Patients Manage Complex Conditions

The VHAN Care Management team serves as an important connection point between patients, providers and caregivers. This service is particularly helpful when patients are managing multiple complex conditions and additional barriers to care.
