The American Diabetes Association estimates that more than 37 million Americans have diabetes, representing more than 11% of the population. And 8.5 million of them are undiagnosed. If diabetes is not quickly diagnosed and managed, it can lead to loss of vision, kidney failure, heart disease, increased risk for infections and worse. In 2019, diabetes was the seventh leading cause of death in the United States.
